Spyros Tsiotsis is a PhD candidate in the Department of Shipping Trade and Transport, in the Business School at the University of the Aegean. Also he is contributing to the postgraduate program of the Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport as a teaching assistant at the Jean Monnet Programme on European Ports Policy.
His research interests focus on the economic and political policies on maritime transport and ports and the issues of European integration, with emphasis on the factors of policy and decision-making process of the European Union.
Spiros is the author of scientific articles that examine issues related to policies on maritime transport, management and finances of ports and the development of relevant European Policies that have published in scientific journals and have presented at international scientific conferences. He has also participated in research projects that examine the structure of the shipping markets and the development of appropriate national and European policies.
Spyros Tsiotsis is a graduate of the Department of International and European Economic Studies of Athens University of Economics and Business and holds a Master Degree in Shipping, Trade and Transport (NAME) of the Department of Shipping, Trade and Services, of the University of the Aegean.
